Wear warm clothing and walking boots, do not wear shorts. The walk lasts 5 1/2 hours. Moderately strenuous, some steep slopes and stiles and slippery in places. The parish of Threshfield has within its boundary a number of mineral resources. Starting with a quarry once worked for Magnesian Limestone we proceed along the line of the North Craven Fault to a calcium carbonate quarry with a draw kiln nearby and then to some old lead workings. Some stone buildings are passed en route. We then cross Threshfield Moor where peat and sandstone were once worked, finally looking at some old coal workings before returning to the start point.
