GEOLOGICAL SOCIETY'S AWARDS, ETC.

It is gratifying to record that during the last five years the geological work of several of our members has been recognised by the Geological Society of London.

In 19o07 Mr. All. Harker, M.A., F.R.S., was awarded the Murchison Medal.

The same year Mr. Thos. Sheppard, F.G.S., was awarded the balance of the proceeds of the "Lyell Geological Fund."

In 1909 Prof. P. F. Kendal], M.Sc., F.G.S., received the Lyell Medal.

In 1910 Mr. J. W. Stather, F.G.S., was awarded the balance of the proceeds of the" Murchison Geological Fund."

Another of our members, ML G. W. Lamplugh, F.R.S., has been elected a Vice-President of the London Geological Society.
