Fossil shown is actually 3 inch long, and found in Speeton clays.

This is a full specimen with a bulbous head which narrows towards the end.

Belemnites are fossilised remains of what was called a guard, the guard was an internal organ inside a creature which resembles a squid.

This Belemnite is long and slender but fragile, and will often be found broken.
