Fossil shown is actually 1.1/2 inch wide, and found in shales on the Holderness coast.

Fossil is perfectly round and can be identifide by the style of ribbing on the body, and helped greatly by knowing the age of area found.

The class of fossil is a Cnidaria, but is commanly known as a type of Coral.
